Rental Policies & Legal Info

1. Driver Requirements

• Renter must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver's license is required (Philippine or recognized foreign license).
• The renter must present a valid government-issued ID or passport.

2. Rental Period

• Rental begins and ends at the agreed date and time.
• Late returns may be subject to additional charges.
• Extensions must be approved and paid for before the rental period expires.

3. Security Deposit

• A security deposit may be required before releasing the motorcycle.
• Deposits will be refunded upon return of the motorcycle in the same condition as received.

4. Vehicle Condition

• The motorcycle is released in good operating condition.
• The renter agrees to return the motorcycle with all provided accessories (helmet, raincoat, phone holder, keys, etc.).
• Any damage, loss, or missing accessories will be charged to the renter.

5. Traffic Violations

• The renter is solely responsible for all traffic violations, fines, towing charges, and penalties incurred during the rental period.
• Any violation received after the rental period but committed during the rental period remains the renter's responsibility.

6. Fuel Policy

• The motorcycle must be returned with the same fuel level as when released.
• Fuel shortages may incur additional charges.

7. Authorized Driver

• Only the registered renter is authorized to operate the motorcycle unless prior approval is given by KJM Motorcycle Rental.
• Lending or subleasing the motorcycle to another person is strictly prohibited.

8. Prohibited Uses

The motorcycle must NOT be used for:

• Illegal activities.
• Racing, stunts, or reckless driving.
• Carrying passengers beyond legal limits.
• Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Transporting prohibited or illegal substances.

9. Accident & Breakdown

• Any accident, theft, or damage must be reported immediately to KJM Motorcycle Rental and local authorities.
• The renter must cooperate fully in filing reports and insurance claims.
• Unauthorized repairs are not allowed without prior approval.

10. Damage Liability

• The renter is responsible for damages caused by negligence, misuse, reckless driving, or violation of traffic laws.
• Repair costs, towing fees, and loss of rental income may be charged when applicable.

11. Theft or Loss

• The renter is responsible for the motorcycle until it is officially returned.
• Loss of keys, documents, or the motorcycle may result in corresponding replacement or recovery costs.

12. Off-Road Use

• Motorcycles are intended for public roads only.
• Off-road riding is prohibited unless specifically authorized.

13. No Refund Policy

• Rental fees are non-refundable once the rental period has started.
• Early returns do not qualify for refunds unless approved by management.

14. Termination of Rental

KJM Motorcycle Rental reserves the right to recover the motorcycle immediately if:

• Terms and conditions are violated.
• False information was provided by the renter.
• The motorcycle is used in a manner that may cause damage or legal liability.
